Atlantic crossing 2018
Some unproffesional and probably quite unimportant Atlantic crossing facts and figures:

- miles sailed – 2850
- miles sailed on autopilot – 7 (not 700, or 70… just 7)
- days sailed 21
- Trade winds (nice and mellow 15knot winds with nice and looong oceanic wave) NONE
- Days of no wind – 4
- Days of too much of wind (over 40kn) – 0
- Bones broken or serious injuries – 0
- Seasickness and/or Puking incidents – around 15
- Mental breakdowns – 2
- Thoughts “why did I actually decided to sail across the ocean???” Over a million (luckily neither Marcin nor me)
- “Are we there yet?” questions – 0
- Parties: 500miles party, 1000miles party, halfway party, 1000miles to-go party, 800, 600, 500, 250 to-go, funeral of Ms Piggy, 100 yey party, Xmas Eve, New Year’s Eve
- Pesto pasta and/or quesadillas with pesto and anything else WITH pesto – waaaaay too much
- Beer… not enough
- fish caught (and repeat after me: flying fish is not a fish!!!!) – 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Whales met – 1 scary close and plenty of pilot whales from a distance
- Dolphins – few, ok… a lot
- Dolphins at night by the moonlight (creepy and awesome at the same time) – 1
- Birds accompanying us across – 3 (we named them Greg, Malvina and Night Lover… don’t ask)
- Conversations on sea monsters and aliens on a night watch – quite a few
- Conversations about Pokemon – Ask Ulla or Vincent, felt like one huge ongoing, couldn’t follow anyway… Cannot tell the difference between pikachu or pukachu…
- Boats met – close enough to have a chat – 1
- Plants survived – 4 tomatoes, basilicum, mynth and green peas
- Plants killed – thyme and carrots r.i.p
- Swimming in the middle of the ocean – done
- Books read – around 20, not many – due to sea sickness
- Hours of idiotic sound making( cannot call it singing) – endless
